W wytwornych wnętrzach pałacu przy ulicy Biskupiej, siedzibie Zespołu Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych, bawił się także wicemarszałek Roman Ciepiela. Duży aplauz uczestników wzbudził walc czekoladowy, a zaostrzony apetyt skutecznie zaspokajała doskonała kuchnia. Znane wszystkim przeboje muzyczne prowokowały do tańców, ale zadbano także o odrobinę wytchnienia organizując aukcję prac plastycznych.

Na aukcji wystawione zostały obrazy lokalnych twórców Stanisława Klicha, Kazimierza Dżalaka i Tadeusza Kowala oraz grafiki uczniów ZSP Krystiana Czernka, Ernesta Bąclera i Maciejka Kowala. Cały dochód z aukcji przekazany został na doposażenie szkoły.

Burmistrz Mączka zapowiada kontynuację w przyszłości balów karnawałowych, które równocześnie promować będą lokalnych artystów z różnych dziedzin sztuki.
